Author: Arthur Thompson

Introduction What Leads To Whiffs, Slices and Hooks?

Throughout your game of golf, there have probably been many times youve gone in and out of your swing. By this, I mean that you may not have felt comfortable with your swing and simply could not find it.

This poor swing usually results in poor ball striking such as whiffs, slices and hooks. Whether you are hitting the ball fat or thin, there are a couple of on-course solutions that are totally portable and with you wherever you go. They are as follows:

Solution #1 Find Out Where Your Head Is!

One good rule of thumb for the golf swing and as to where the swing bottoms out is to take a look at where your head is positioned throughout the swing. If your weight is on your front foot, then respectively you should see a divot directly in line with the position of your head as you practice swinging your club.

Conversely, if your weight is on your back foot then you will see the divot in direct relation to that weight application. Go ahead and move your head to different positions and watch how your practice divots move around and accommodate the new positions that you put yourself in. When you have uphill and downhill lies, you can then respectfully understand better the following:

    --Where your swing bottoms out
--The position where you address the ball for better and consistent ball striking.
Solution #2 Use The BEST Tutor On The Planet!

One of the best aids and tutors on the golf course is that big yellow dot in the sky thats right, the sun!

When we go a little out of sync on the golf course, the sun is probably one of the best companions around. You can see many discrepancies in your own golf swing right there and then on the golf course. By placing the sun on your back and looking at your shadow, you can see all the movements that you generate during the golf swing.

While it is not as good as a video camera or a mirror, the sun can give you some immediate feedback and possibly a quick fix to keep your game in order. Literally, you can see flying elbows, bobbing, rocking, lateral slides and many more ailments that can be addressed once you see and know what is causing those poor ball strikes.

Conclusion Dont Give Up!

There are lots of fixes on the golf course you can use to patch and repair some minor leaks within the game. Once you know how to do these little subtleties, you can still patch and repair the leaks within your game while still on the course.
Instead of throwing in the towel and giving up you can still
    --Salvage a decent low score
    --Maintain your fun level
    --Learn new ways to score
Have fun and enjoy your game!
