In a recent survey, three out of four Americans surveyed agree there's a simple everyday wonder with big benefits commonly found in people's medicine cabinets. And at a few dollars a bottle and without a prescription, it's within arm's reach of every American.

Can you guess what this simple everyday wonder is? Take this quick quiz to test your knowledge and see how you stack up against the rest of America:

1. Which of the following items do you currently have in your medicine cabinet? (Choose all that apply.)

a. Band-Aids

b. Tweezers

c. Aspirin

d. Rubbing Alcohol

If your answer included C, aspirin, you're in good company. 76 percent of Americans surveyed keep aspirin top shelf in their medicine cabinet!

2. Which of the following medications do you consider a "wonder drug"?

a. Penicillin

b. Polio vaccine

c. Aspirin

d. All of the above

If you chose D, you know your wonder drugs. More than half of Americans surveyed think aspirin deserves "wonder drug" status, putting it in the same league as penicillin and the polio vaccine.

3. What brand of aspirin do you have in your medicine cabinet?

a. Bayer?

b. Bufferin?

c. Generic store brand

d. Other

Did you choose America's favorite brand? More Americans surveyed currently have Bayer in their medicine cabinet than any other brand.

This simple wonder, first introduced in 1899, more than holds its own in the new millennium.

4. Which of the following conditions can aspirin treat and/or prevent?

a. Heart attack

b. Stroke (recurrent)

c. Pain/arthritis

d. All of the above

If you chose D, all of the above, you can join the 83 percent of Americans surveyed who know aspirin can be taken regularly to help reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke and the 86 percent who are aware of aspirin's most widely known benefit: it relieves pain.

Quotas are set to ensure reliable and accurate representation of the total U.S. population among a nationwide cross section of 722 Americans 40 years of age and older.
